Step inside and relish the laid-back hospitality of Franconia!
We offer lunch and dinner in our two dining rooms from Tuesday to Sunday 11.30 a.m. to 1.30 p.m. and 5.30 to 9.30 p.m.
While the restaurant is closed on Mondays we still offer an evening menu for hotel guests until 7 p.m.
We are particularly proud of our extensive menu, which offers a wide range of dishes – traditional Franconian cuisine and more. We have something for everybody. You can find a small selection here. Home-made Thuringian dumplings (Thüringer Klöße) are one of our specialities. You can enjoy them with various roasts straight from our own butcher’s.
Or choose one of the dishes with fried potatoes, for which our chef has been praised by many guests. It goes without saying that you will also find several freshly made seasonal specialities like asparagus or chanterelle dishes.
Did you know that the Bavarian district of Upper Franconia is the area with the highest density of breweries in the world? We really appreciate Michelau lying in the very heart of it and so will you if you choose from the wide range of delicious regional beers we offer. We have draught beers from the direct neighbourhood (Pils and wheat beer) a dark beer from the nearby Kulmbach, the Franconian city of beer, further sorts of bottled beer.
If you prefer wine, please choose from our wine list. The neighbouring district of Lower Franconia around the city of Würzburg is known as the Franconian wine country, which is said to produce for example some of the most outstanding Silvaners. You may have heard of the “Bocksbeutel” – the traditional bottle of Franconian wines.
